Thoughts...

I still need to do one more shoot to meet the requirements for the final checklist for Unit 3. I am semi-out of ideas at the moment, especially as I know I struggle to get different people to use as models, as well as the appropriate costumes I need for some of the ideas I have thought of.

I have begun to look at some ideas of contrast photography on google to attempt to find some inspiration for my final shoot.

I am quite pleased with the quality of my work so far, so my final shoot won't be a major production. If anything I might do a couple of smaller shoots looking at different ideas instead of one big final shoot to attempt to get even more ideas and variation in my final pieces.

Here are some notes on some of the ideas I am starting to come up with:

  • Contrast in foods. I have already explored healthy and unhealthy with the chocolate oranges, so now I could look at visual contrast. I could continue with the theme of healthy and unhealthy foods, but looking at it on a much bigger scale. I could also explore the different colours which come with food, especially with fruits and vegetables and I could look at the contrasts there. I like the idea of using chocolate for such a shoot, with the idea of marbling white chocolate with milk chocolate.

  • There is also the contrast of High and Low to look at from a photographic point of view. With this, I would perhaps like to look at buildings, especially those in built-up city areas where they are particularly tall. I could photograph the buildings from different perspectives, i.e. looking up at the building, and then looking down from it. With the different perspectives, I could then merge all the images into a multiple-imagery piece.
